We practice the “Gentle Care” and :”Best Friends” Philosophy as well as following guidelines and training established by the Alzheimer’s Association. Freedom of movement and choice of activities are paramount to our Memory Care program.

The unit has been thoughtfully designed to provide a therapeutic, warm and welcoming environment with optimum security and safety.

We are professionally staffed to serve the needs of those with memory loss. We provided a protected, comfortable environment that helps residents maintain their dignity as they live with their memory care issues. We insure that each staff member is trained to be successful in providing individualized attention and quality service and care.

Program and Philosophy

Being involved in daily routine tasks help preserve dignity and self-worth. We want to allow residents the opportunity to maintain a lifestyle that includes fun and companionship as well as supervision and guidance from our staff.

We provide a wide array of activities that are specially designed to meet individualized needs. Activities may include, and are not limited to: sensory and memory stimulation, reminiscing, games, story-telling, pet visits, music, outings.

Our Residents have access to a full complement of care services, as well as social and recreational activities. A Personal care and service plan is developed for each resident to meet their needs and wishes that also includes opportunities to make choices. Service plans will address bathing, dressing, toileting and incontinence challenges.

Mealtime has been and remains a focal point in everyday lives. With this in mind we encourage residents to assist in parts of the meal preparation, serving and cleanup. We also have taken steps to make the meal experience social as well as nutritious without a structured setting.
